Earthquake! 地震 Aftermath and How To Help

你们好!

I have received a few e-mails in the last 48 hours asking for way to help those affected by the Earthquake. As of right now, according to CNN, over 22,000 people are confirmed dead with up to 30,000 more still missing. I have heard from their classmates, as well as from the students directly affected, that many of my own students have not only lost their homes but multiple members of their families. The stories are much too heartbreaking to tell here...

To make matters worse, a 5.5 aftershock ripped through Sichuan Province today, further complicating any possible rescue effort. Listen to this interesting NPR report for more details and personal stories...

And if you don't feel comfortable using that website, you can always e-mail me (philiprazem@gmail.com) and we can work out a special arrangement...

All for now...more in the coming days...

I love and miss you all,

Phil
